The WORST thing about hand washing my clothes?

Some days it can be tough to keep up with, because of the strange pace of activity in the modern world.

Because of the overwhelming prevalence of time-saving convenience in highly accessible items, such as washing machines(Clothing, dishes, vehicle, etc)  along with many other unmentioned types, this world seems to operate on the assumption that everyone has these items and should always participate in every event as if that is the proper and most healthy way to live. When in fact, it is unhealthy to speed through life, getting a thousand things done in one day, every day, all year. It creates burnout scenarios in the adrenal system of the body.

I say this to clarify, that the worst thing about my hand washing, is not that I feel behind, for sometimes not being able to keep up with laundry. But rather, that it so readily highlights the illness in our modern world, where that thought only develops from the ill expectations I've had placed upon me my entire life.

When I step back, and think of this from the perspective of the vast majority of people that have lived on this planet until now. I would probably be considered an "overachiever" in my regular upkeep with my laundry being washed by hand. In fact in the 1800s many would only wash their clothing and bedding once per month, on what was literally known as "Wash Day".

The hidden benefit that so many are missing out on from such practices? Their immune systems had a chance to fully bloom into the immediate environment, to establish boundaries that protect us even away from our bodies.

Modern washing habits are not only senseless, they are probably harmful and wear us out unnecessarily at the level of immunological function. The body has to replenish the resources it uses to develop it's presence of immune system you know... That's not something that just happens without effort and resources. And they can be sometimes rare or difficult to attain from even the most balanced diet. First, it establishes the immune presence on the body; and then, in the immediate environment. It has sensor systems that monitor for the presence of such, and then when it finds it has established a reasonable hedge of protection, it stops production until it's time to start a new cycle. This gives our immune system adequate rest, just as every other natural cycle requires to be healthy.

So the worst thing is not the act of hand-washing itself. It's the highlighting of the illness of modern "cleansing" habits and the seemingly mindless acceptance of such, as "the thing to do".
